Privacy

Peekrace uses the data needed to run the game. Analytics and advertising choices are independent and can be changed under “Privacy” on the home screen.
Running the game
Preferences stay in this browser. In multiplayer, your chosen name, room and progress let you play and rejoin. Optional scene ratings and ideas are stored separately from analytics. Ideas stay private. A network fingerprint renewed daily helps limit spam.
Optional account
You can play without an account. If you sign in with Google or Discord, Peekrace stores an account ID, your name, your email when provided, and the provider's sign-in identifiers until you delete your account. Peekrace does not receive your Google or Discord password. Provider tokens are encrypted in the database. An essential cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days, renewed during use. Sessions and abuse prevention also use your network address and browser information. In My account, you can link or unlink a sign-in method, sign out or delete your account; deletion removes Peekrace connections and sessions. Signing in does not enable analytics or advertising and does not replace your room identity.
Contributions
Stripe processes payments. To calculate funding totals, Peekrace stores payment identifiers, the amount, the supported theme and any refunds or disputes. Your browser stores a return token to check the payment. Only totals are public; neither bank details nor individual amounts are sent to analytics.
Optional analytics
With your permission, PostHog Europe measures screens, actions, scene clicks and progress using a random identifier. No names, room codes or session video recordings are sent. Your choice lasts six months; events are retained for at most one year. Declining does not change the game.
Google advertising
Google ads may appear between some solo scenes. Google and its partners may use cookies and identifiers to serve, personalize and measure ads and prevent fraud. Google's form lists partners and their purposes. When required consent is missing, Peekrace continues without requesting an ad. Declining analytics neither grants nor refuses advertising consent.
Your choices
Open the home screen's privacy settings: “Gameplay analytics” for PostHog and, when Google's form is available, “Google advertising choices” to change or withdraw advertising consent. You can also clear site data in your browser; this removes preferences and may prevent rejoining a room.
